The Great Room
Guests enter the Great Room from
either the north or south porches. The room features a fireplace, a
white-washed pine board cathedral ceiling, two skylights and plenty of
comfortable seating. Views from the ample windows and doors are
primarily of the lake north and south. A small pass through from the
adjacent kitchen allows for conversation between the kitchen and guests
relaxing by the fire.
The Kitchen/Dining Alcove
The Kitchen is fully equipped with a
gas stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, counter space with
five stools as well as a large, antique, oak table that seats up to
eight. The traditional black and white tile floor throughout the
kitchen, hall and baths is a throw back to New York City apartment
buildings where my wife grew up.
The Master Suite features a pillow top king size bed, a built in head board, a separate deck going outside to the private east side of the house, and a very comfortable reading chair and table. The windows face east and offer a view of the lake through the trees. A large master closet is off the main room. The Master suite bath includes a jet tub, stall shower and double sinks; a linen closet is in the bathroom as well. An east facing window provides light as well as beautiful views of the lake and trees.
Traveling up the stairs to the second floor, you enter a small alcove room. Going through this room, you enter the large second floor Retreat Room, a room that, due to the bow window, seems as if it is in the trees. The view from this room is east - it is one of our favorite rooms for watching TV or a movie. This room includes a very comfortable sofa, two rocking chairs and two twin beds for another sleeping area.
The Guest Room Kate's Room
Down the hall from the Kitchen are two guest rooms on your right. The Guest Room offers a queen size bed, a large closet and a nice view of the lawn and south lake. Kate's Room (named after our daughter) features two twin beds, a walk-in closet and windows facing the south and east. The windows afford the room great cross ventilation. Both bedrooms offer plenty of storage in chests and the closets.
This room is fully set up as your home away from Home Office. The room is arranged with comfortable seating and reading lights; it also has a small TV and a CD player.
The Four Decks
How could we have overlooked these essential features to easy living on Tully Lake? The South Deck

The South Deck overlooks the lawn
running down to the lake -- the key feature is an old fashioned red
porch swing. Now you have the perfect place to while away an afternoon.
The North Deck

The North Deck looks towards the boathouse, bay and the island off in the distance.
The East Deck

The East Deck, off the master bedroom, is a private place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book in the morning sun.
The coup de grace is the Upper Deck, situated up in the trees halfway up the stairs to the second floor. It is the perfect place
for afternoon cocktails, good conversation and wonderful friends! The
boaters on the bay will never know you are up there enjoying the privacy
of this special spot.
